What is a bassline? Why is it important to everybody?

I'm not going to dwell into the technical aspect of a bassline. I'm not going to try to decipher the grueling and at times nonsensical approach to understanding the basic of it.

These basslines as heard everyday, as performed daily in your life, from which sprouts the means to map a persons life, the fundamental note that holds the core of the music.

Whole the bass. Pluck a string. Listen to it resonate. Listen to how the guitarist shreds on it, the keyboardist builds chords on it, at how the drummer thrives on it and how the singer feels it.

Playing the bass makes you feel alive.
