Dulu2, sebelum wujudnya Blog Buih ini, aku pernah bersemangat waja bermain muzik. Sampai sekarang aku masih suka bermain instrument tapi dah tak sekerap dulu. Semuanya bermula dari..

Tahun 1996. Lepas PMR budak2 form 3 semua tak tau nak buat apa. Malas la nak kacau Form 5. Semua tengah sibuk nak study. Form 3 pun dah boleh rilek sikit sebab form 5 dah tak palat sangat takut kena sumpah SPM dapat gred 2. Tiba2 muncul sebuah idea Battle of the Band. On the spot jugak, aku pandang kiri kanan lalu terbentuk la sebuah band. Untuk malam tu, aku main lagu Whitesnake dan satu lagu lagi, tak ingat lagu apa. Dari situ aku dalam band dengan Sapet.

Tahun 1997, dah naik form 4, hidup bosan kat dorm. Tapi bila weekend, yeah..time tu la sibuk nak jam. Masa tu..pehh hardcore sungguh main Rancid. Boleh kata nak abis la satu album ..and out come the wolves tu. Album tu best. Dengar la kalau tak percaya.

Tahun 1998 aku naik form 5, taiko la kira... kitorang dah start main Goldfinger dan start belajar main lagu2 yang radio friendly. Semua band member ni from Ahmad House. So, confirm la kitorang hog dinner house. Actually, every occasion is an excuse to set up a concert. You name it. Sports day?ada..annual concert?ada..farewell dinner house?ada..we even played at rugby dinner. I negotiated with the rugger captain. Kitorang dapat Ayam Mas sorang sekotak, which was the dinner food obviously (budak2 rugby punya dinner makan ayam sorang sekor.) That was my first paying gig.

Now..Raqib who was the main singer kalau lagu Rancid is a doctor with 2 beautiful children. So is Shaze who was on keys back then. Now he prowls night spots like most former rockstars trying to outlive the old days. Nad who was on drums then is know a father of a very handsome boy and he goes about running his own business. Sapet who eventually went on to become my band member till today is succesfully working in the Middle East and getting enggaged this weekend (congrats!). I have continued playing music for a bit, once I started working, it was just too hectic to shuffle between the two.

But now, I have this blog to rekindle these stories...
